I think his name is Mizuno. (Not sure if written like this) . He is the owner of a Ramen restaurant in BCN Gothic Quarter.
Meanwhile I had spent a wonderful week in Barcelona with my family and met so many kind Catalonian people. It was my first time in Barcelona and I am in love with this city now. I had only two afternoons „kids-free“ and took about 1000 photos. I had so many ideas in mind but I need to come again to realize them. What a beautiful city!
Last week Adrian had sent me one of Fan Ho’s photos showing a small street in Hong Kong and we talked about it. If you haven’t seen Fan Ho’s work you should see it. He was a photographer and filmmaker. His most famous photos showing a fast growing Hong Kong in the 1950s and ’60s. He worked a lot with negative space, back light, silhouettes and high contrast in cinematic compositions.
When I passed by this street in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona it reminded me Fan Ho’s photo. I used an equivalent focal length. Sun was too low, couldn’t see the sky from this angle, the old lady with the cane didn’t pass by and luckily there was no smoke but the beauty of #barcelona
